You need to pray that neither you, your family nor anyone that is close to you becomes disabled. You should be ashamed of yourself. The Lowes near my office hires a significant number of disabled people which includes the brother of my agency producers. They are some of the hardest working and loyal employees that any business could have. They work work around their disabilities and the community rewards that Lowes with their loyal business.

One, learn to have a sense of humor. Two, try to run your own business this way, that you hire employees who then want to be out for an extended time. This is not work…it’s welfare.

You just repeated it in the next comment so you obviously didn’t take it as a joke not to be considered seriously. This is medical leave, so the people most likely became sick and were fired. The government needs to stop accepting settlements like this without making the company admit guilt.

They may not have hired disabled people, people get sick or their families get sick, etc. However, if they refuse to hire disabled people they could catch a lawsuit for that too.

You are right Perplexed. First was the ramps for the disabled, then the bathrooms and now this.

        Agent,

Accommodating fellow human beings who happen to be different or disabled. Oh the horror.

Please tell us again how you claim to be a Christian.

He’s no Christian at all. He’s right there with Trump standing with bended wrists and elbows making fun of disabled people.

When I go to the grocery store, many times I select the checkout counter with a disabled employee or two just so I can thank them. I don’t care if it takes a little longer, I think it’s awesome they are there!

There are a lot of details left out of this situation. I’m assuming these were unpaid leaves of absence.

I am all for laws protecting peoples jobs when they become disabled, but, I have to think there has to be a limitation on how long a job has to be held open. How long is reasonable and for what positions?

Any company can only go so long before they have to replace the person to minimize the impact of the vacant open position.

I agree with Integrity. How long is reasonable? What are the disabilities? What relief does the company have. How many times have you walked down the isle of this retailer or any other large chain store and you were unable to find help. I guess we now know where the workers are.
