Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance Robert Wooley announced that he and his staff at the Louisiana Department of Insurance have a lot to celebrate in December.
Wooley said the accreditation team of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners will recommend to its full board that the LDI be reaccredited with what appears to be its highest score ever. This honor follows a thorough evaluation of the Department’s staff, policies and procedures by the NAIC Financial Regulation Standards Review Team.
“There was never a doubt in my mind that the Department would not only be reaccredited, but would receive high marks,” said Wooley. “The staff of the Louisiana Department of Insurance has long been recognized as one of the country’s top performing insurance departments, so it’s no surprise that we are being lauded for such exemplary work,” the Commissioner added.
The LDI will be honored at the NAIC Winter National Meeting in December.
