An increase in the amount Statefarm is asking could cause me to have to sell and move out of the county. I have a new secure hope with storm protection. I am not on a barrier island. My expenses make me live on the edge now with everything increasing. This sounds like the last straw for me.
Our insurance has more than tripled in the last few years, and the things being covered have been cut, cut, cut. From less than $500 a year to over $1500 a year is a bit excessive without them having to pay next to nothing back. Now, after having a profit even during the last 2 years, they want to get even more profit. Where will it end? I may not even keep insurance, it would be cheeper just to repair any damage on my own. In over 35 years I\’ve cost them less than $1000. for my claims, and that was for spoiled food & some fence damage. They don\’t even cover food spoilage anymore & I\’m not sure they even cover fences. WOW!!! They cover so little now they should be cutting the insurance cost instead of raising it.
