A Mableton man whose home was heavily damaged by floods last month has won $250,000 playing the Georgia lottery.
Michael Sussman said he plans to buy a new home for his family with his winnings. The 38-year-old and his wife, Cassie, have three children, ages 11, 10 and 8.
Sussman said his home was flooded up to the roof during the high water that damaged hundreds of homes across the state. He bought the winning ticket at Cumberland Mall.
