Dan C. Chick has joined the Personal Insurance Federation of California (PIFC) as senior legislative advocate.
Chick is a former legislative policy analyst and consultant in the California State Senate. He began his career as a campaign consultant in 1992. He served various positions until 1999, when he became a policy consultant for the Senate Republican Caucus to the Insurance and Health and Human Services Committees. In that position he analyzed and made recommendations on legislation affecting all lines of personal and commercial insurance. In 2002, he became interim policy director for the Senate Republican Caucus.
“As the former consultant to the Insurance and Health and Human Services Committees, Mr. Chick brings a wealth of knowledge to PIFC to assist in analyzing key legislative and regulatory policy issues. His additional experience as manager of legislative floor activities and production of floor analysis will be invaluable in his new position as senior legislative advocate,” Dan Dunmoyer, president of PIFC, said.
