my car was recently stolen and I was was asked to pay almost the amount of the car for its return by a local towing company. I was advised by a operator for A.P.D. to contact risk management. So I filed a claim and after all this time I was told that my car was sold with out any notification but I was offered one third of the cars value. It look like I was a victim of two parties the car thieves and then by the towing company. i do Know that back in the days when people were honest that it was common courtesy to return a stolen vehicle or any item without charging the owner.

Back in the days there was no such place as where you went for help. Towing companies were allowed in a free enterprise. Now all tow companies are regulated by a governing agency as the one you just seeked answers from.

Unfortunately you went to the wrong place for answers. NMPRC.GOV would have given you the proper channels to go through. Not that the overpaid staff would have gotten any results. But there is the proper place to complain.
