Crestbrook Insurance Expands into California, More States to Come

March 28, 2014

Crestbrook Insurance Co., an affluent market personal lines carrier, has expanded its products and services to independent agents and their clients in California. After launching in Illinois last October, the Nationwide Insurance subsidiary will continue to expand into Washington, Arizona, Oregon and Ohio closely following the California launch.

The affluent personal lines market continues to see consistent growth within the United States and currently represents a $60 billion share of the property casualty industry, according to President Jim Pedersen. Crestbrook designed its products and services for those with a primary residence valued from $750,000-$5 million and looks to cover all their needs – including auto, collections, personal excess liability, secondary residences and additional exposures.

The company offers high franchise value to its appointed independent agents, by adhering to a limited distribution strategy. As part of its appointment process, Crestbrook looks for consistent profitable growth, long-term partnerships and a personal lines focus with affluent clients. In California, Crestbrook has appointed nearly 100 successful independent agencies.

Crestbrook’s field footprint continues to expand in preparation for its 2014 launch plans. With offices in Scottsdale, Ariz., Rosemont, Ill. and Sacramento, Calif., the company opened its Columbus, Ohio office in January and its underwriting center in San Diego earlier this month. Crestbrook currently employs more than 75 associates across the country, with localized claims, sales and underwriting professionals in targeted geographic regions.

Crestbrook is based in Scottsdale, Ariz. and is a member of the Nationwide Insurance family.
