In the interest of equitable justice, Walmart should identify and interplead as third party defendents the refiner, jobber and marketer of the gasoline for placing such a dangerous product into commerce.

Not to mention waiving the Stupidity Clause for pouring gasoline on an existing fire.

I can’t believe the two defendants agreed to those amounts without a trial. the dumbest jury surely wouldn’t have awarded $161 million??????

I recall seeing safety warnings on my gas cans saying not to do this.

who would pour gasoline on an active fire from a gas can?? really?? there should be a law put into effect stating “stupid people doing stupid things receive no money” – how do you determine who is a stupid person doing stupid things – put the photo of a guy pouring gasoline over an active fire from a gas can

Pouring gas on a flaming fire doesn’t count as negligence, though.

Bob, I believe that was the sum of all the cases up to this one.

I’m sorry, but common sense says not to do such a stupid thing. Really? Who does this, I don’t think either company should be permitted to be sued.
