“It’s the Law”. O.K. is it a good law or a bad law? Slavery was lawful many years ago. It was a bad law and we got rid of it. Women did not have the right to vote. It was a bad law and we got rid of it. Many insurance companies say that mandatory auto insurance is a bad law and causes more problems than its benefits. Let’s do a study and see how many landlords do not get their rent due to mandatory auto insurance. A survey done in Billings, Montana showed 12 of the 96 surveyed said auto insurance was a reason for needing food stamps. How many more go down to the food bank because of mandatory auto insurance?
How many of those that can’t afford rent because of auto insurance can afford to get into a minor fender bender? Please don’t compare slavery, and women’s suffrage to mandatory auto insurance, that cheapens those two subjects and weakens your argument against the law. Also, I’d like to read the ‘Many Insurance Companies’ statements saying that it ‘caauses more problems that it’s benefits.’ because all I could find was individual insurance agencies talking about it, no Companies stating this.
