in January of 2004, my insurance company was cutting back coverage in Texas so after 5 years with them we were cancelled. In my search for an insurance company, I went with National Lloyds. I paid the startup fee and in less than a month was cancelled due to an underwriting discrepancy. I was reimbursed $25 of my $217.

There was no contact other than the cancellation letter. I never lied or intetionally tried to “get over” on them, but they make me feel as if I had. Yes, I own a duplex. Live in one side, rent the other. Currently the rent side is being refurbished (new plumbling, fixtures, walls, fans, etc.) so it is empty. This is why the policy was cancelled… because the dwelling was vacant. This information was in the forms I filled out for a policy.

I guess I’m vexed because of the cancellation, no communication, no total reimbursement of funds. I’d not recommend this company to anybody.
