In the Aug. 4, 2008 issue of Insurance Journal, an article titled “Agents Weigh Independence, Commissions, Markets When Choosing Agency” on page N10 incorrectly stated that ARM International is owned by Arthur J. Gallagher. ARM International is owned by its shareholder regional ARM groups (which are in turn owned by independent agency ARM members), not by Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Also, the article stated that ARM has members in Miss., Ala., Ark. and La., and an office in Jackson, Miss., when in fact ARM National has members in 23 states, and ARM South has members in the four listed states, as well as an office in Jackson, Miss. Insurance Journal regrets the errors.
