Maine Insurance Superintendent Mila Kofman has been reappointed by the state Senate.
Kofman has served as superintendent since 2008, and was nominated for reappointment by Gov. John E. Baldacci earlier this month.
Prior to her appointment as superintendent, Kofman was an associate research professor and project director at the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute. She studied state private health insurance market reforms, regulation, products and financing strategies.
Earlier in her career, Kofman was a federal regulator at the U.S. Department of Labor.
