Fiesta Auto

Huntington Beach, Calif.-based Fiesta Auto Insurance, a franchise system that combines insurance and tax preparation under one roof, recently opened 20 new offices in various locations, increasing its presence to more than 60 open locations throughout the United States.

The new locations are in: Harbor City, Calif.; Fresno, Calif.; Watsonville, Calif.; Corpus Christi, Texas; Dallas; Houston; Katy, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Ft. Worth, Texas; Pembroke Pines, Fla.; Pompano Beach, Fla.; Palm Springs, Fla.; Miami; Taylor, Mich.; New York City; Bridgehampton, N.Y.; Ozone Park, N.Y.; Newark, N.J.; Chicago; and Malden, Mass.

Fiesta Auto Insurance previously reported that it intends to have more than 150 locations open by the end of 2010, and 1,500 during the next five years.

Hirsch Insurance Agency

Hirsch Insurance Agency opened its doors for business on April 24, 2010, in Houston. The newly created agency is founded by Zachary Alan Hirsch.

Hirsch Insurance will specialize in lawyers professional liability, and will provide other professionals with errors and omissions coverage, as well. The company offers the solo practitioner, as well as the prospective law firm, a full service insurance portfolio for all their law firm insurance needs.

Coverages include business owners’ policies, workers’ compensation, employment practices liability and employee benefits.

Grinnell Mutual

Iowa-based Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co. has issued its first auto policies in Oklahoma.

Through its longtime relationship with Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Co. in Okarche, auto insurance, along with other personal lines products from Grinnell Mutual, are now available from a network of independent agents throughout the state. In addition to auto insurance, Grinnell Mutual offers insurance coverage for recreational vehicles, personal excess (liability), and inland marine.

Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Co., established in 1899, offers home owners and farm owners insurance statewide through its network of 330 independent agents. It has received an “A-” rating from insurance industry rating firm A.M. Best for the past 16 years.

Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co., with headquarters in Grinnell, Iowa, has been in business since 1909 and provides reinsurance and property/casualty insurance products for homeowners, farm owners and business owners through nearly 1,600 independent agents in 11 Midwestern states. It has received an “A” rating from A.M. Best since 1991.
