Monarch E&S Insurance Services opened new offices in Hawaii and Arizona. The Hawaii office, located in Waikoloa, will be operated by company CEO Derek Borisoff.

The Arizona office, located in Chandler, will be run by Senior Underwriter for Commercial Lines Debbie Perry.

Propel Insurance, Cascade Risk, Encore & Co.

Propel Insurance expanded its real estate expertise by acquiring Cascade Risk Placement Inc. and Encore & Company Insurance. Staff from both Cascade and Encore will join the team in Propel’s Seattle office.

Cascade Risk Placement, based in Bellevue, Wash., has focused on the real estate industry, offering office, apartment, hotel/motel, industrial park and other related real estate risk management services. Formed in 2003, the firm also developed and administered Insurance Program for Association Housing (IPAH), a group property and liability insurance program exclusively for members of affordable housing associations.

Lynnwood, Wash.-based Encore & Co. specializes in coverage for owners and managers of manufactured housing communities, shopping centers, and self-storage facilities.

Seattle Specialty, Sterling National (QBE)

QBE’s subsidiary, Sterling National Corp., acquired Seattle Specialty Insurance Services Inc. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Everett, Wash., Seattle Specialty Insurance Services has provided insurance services to financial institutions since 1992. It will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sterling National, under the continued leadership of founder, president and CEO Rick Pedack.

Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, QBE operates out of 49 countries. The Americas Division, headquartered in New York, conducts business through various property and casualty insurance subsidiaries in eight countries.

Seattle Specialty Insurance Services specializes in lender-placed commercial and residential property, auto and flood risks.

Solutions Insurance, SIAA

Solutions Insurance Group LLC of Colorado Springs, Colo., joined ICA Agency Alliance Inc. based in Colorado Springs. Since its inception in 1995, SIAA has signed 3,450 new members in the continental United States.

Tri County, Steve Brooks, B&B Premier

Nine months after Eric Bossuk, former CEO of Tri County Insurance based in Calabasas, Calif., and Steve Brooks, former president of Steve Brooks Insurance Services based in Westlake Village Calif., announced they would be merging their companies, their joint venture has officially become B&B Premier Insurance Solutions Inc.

In the months since the two joined forces, B&B Premier Insurance located its headquarters in Agoura Hills, Calif. The company will maintain two satellite offices in Santa Clarita and Calabasas to accommodate new and existing personal and commercial insurance clients, Bossuk said.

Crouse & Associates, AmWINS

Charlotte, N.C.-based AmWINS Group Inc. and Crouse and Associates Insurance Services reached an agreement for Crouse and Associates to acquire AmWINS’ Fresno, Calif., office. Terms of agreement were not disclosed.

Patricia Kuckenbaker will lead the Fresno operation for Crouse and Associates, and her team will continue to service their in-force book of business.

Liberty Golden Insurance Services, The Iroquois Group

Liberty Golden Insurance Services of Newark, Calif., joined The Iroquois Group.

Iroquois is a network of property and casualty insurance agencies with more than 1,800 member agencies in 37 states.
