State Farm Insurance Co. plans to build a national operations center in the Atlanta suburb of Dunwoody. The facility will be built on a nearly four-acre site across from the Dunwoody MARTA station.
City officials said the site will serve as the heart of Bloomington, Ill.-based State Farm’s Perimeter corporate campus. The announcement did not say how many jobs would be created. In February, State Farm confirmed it was expanding its operations in the Atlanta area, Dallas and Phoenix. In addition to the 3.9-acre site, State Farm recently bought the 10-story Hammond Exchange building and 13 acres of undeveloped land in Dunwoody.
