It’s refreshing to finally have someone talk about a positive outlook for independent insurance agents. Agents that embraced the gloomy concept that Auto Insurance is NOW considered a commodity by a lot of consumers, these Agents are able to grow their sales. These that are resisting the change, are struggling to grow their sales, and are facing the outlook of “The Death of Salesman” reality check. I agree with you that these that can ORGANICALLY grow are the future, including Clusters/Aggregators, and the rest would have to close their doors. I would also mention that NOT all marketing initiatives are a waist of effort. We at The Iroquois Group Southwest are helping our agents to prospect using Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ as source of leads generation to accommodate these customers that are looking for choices without having to talk to an Agent.
