Georgia Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine said an investigation by his office resulted in the arrest of two Albany, Ga., insurance agents.
Tiawanna Thomas Moore and Kimberly Thomas Goodman were arrested. Goodman was charged with one count of false statements and writings, and five counts of insurance fraud. Moore was charged with 16 counts of theft by taking, six counts of computer theft and three counts of insurance fraud. Moore is also charged with fraudulent activities while she was employed with Affordable Insurance Co., located at 509 B South Slappey Street in Albany.
Oxendine said among other charges, Moore and Goodman allegedly kept premiums paid to them for various coverages. The suspects’ agency, Thomas and Thomas Insurance Agency, is located at 628 Pine Street in Albany.
