Nuts & Bolts: Safeware, the Insurance Agency Inc., of Columbus, Ohio, launched a new product, Global Insurance To Go, to insure travelers and their personal computer and other portable business equipment. It provides PC owners coverage against a variety of hazards, including accidental damage, theft, power surges, vandalism and natural disasters. Travelers are covered wherever they are, anywhere in the world. In addition to computers, the policy can provide insurance protection for other high-value business equipment such as portable fax machines and copiers. Travelers also can purchase coverage for personal property, including clothing and other personal effects. A 90-day policy is available for travelers who need coverage for short trips.
Dollars: Deductible—$200. Annual premiums begin at $200 for up to $4,000 worth of coverage.
