Nuts & Bolts: American Bankers and American Reliable are offering a new Excess Flood Insurance Program. It provides coverage in excess of NFIP building and contents limits. Written in all zones and both commercial and residential risks are covered. It typically follows form of the NFIP; however, Replacement Cost on non-primary residences is also provided. If an agent does not have an E&S license or does not want to do the filings et al, they will be connected to one of the companies’ brokers.
Dollars: $2.5MM over the NFIP building limits and $500,000 over the NFIP contents limits
States Available: Available in 38 states on an E&S basis, including Florida, California, Texas, Louisiana, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
