Nuts & Bolts: EdChoice, Schinnerer’s insurance program for small to mid-size colleges and universities, has added general liability coverage for exposures such as corporal punishment, athletics or sports activities, abuse and molestation, host liquor, as well as limited pollution coverage. The policy features a broad named insured, which also extends to school nurses, speech therapists, athletic trainers and physical therapists. Coverage includes non-owned watercraft up to 50 feet, fellow employee coverage, an expanded definition of bodily injury, personal and advertising injury for course-related chat rooms and bulletin boards, and a broadened coverage territory for foreign education activities. In addition, CNA and Schinnerer have teamed up to offer a trustees, officers, management and employee liability policy. Schinnerer’s target risks for the program include small to mid-size public and private non-profit colleges and universities, including community colleges, with enrollments up to 5,000.
