Enhanced Partial Loss Settlement Nuts & Bolts: National Lloyds Insurance Company and American Summit Insurance Company have a new enhanced partial loss endorsement for the HO-8 homeowners form. It provides replacement cost coverage on partial losses to the dwelling. Coverage does not apply to personal property or the roof of the dwelling. Any total loss will be paid at policy limits.

Dollars: Dwellings are insured for actual cash value. The partial loss settlement coverage requires an additional charge of 5 percent of the policy base premium charged for the dwelling, personal property and liability coverage.

OL&T for Texas TDP-1 Nuts & Bolts: National Lloyds Insurance Company is offering owner, landlords and tenants liability (OL&T) for tenant occupied dwellings under the Texas Dwelling Form 1 (TDP-1).

Dollars: Liability limits available are $25,000 and $50,000.

Builders Risk Nuts & Bolts: National Lloyds Insurance Company and American Summit Insurance Company are offering new construction and renovation coverage with three-, six- and 12-month terms for new construction and three-month terms for the renovation program.

Condominium AssociationsNuts & Bolts: Philadelphia Insurance Companies is broadening the eligible classes for its condominium product to include office park condominium complexes. Coverages include property, general liability, automobile, garage keepers and umbrella. Acceptable classes include office condos with an occupancy rate of at least 80 percent, and area used as office space of at least 75 percent. Other underwriting criteria and restrictions apply.

Dollars: General limits to $1 million/$3 million; umbrella liability limits to $1 million.

Freight ForwardersNuts & Bolts: Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company introduced a program offering combinations of shippers interest, bailee, legal liability, and errors and omissions coverages for freight forwarders. The program offers a simplified rate schedule, an easy-to-use commodity list as well as automated rating and reporting. The company has built the product into FOCUS, an online facility that expedites the underwriting and claims process for ocean marine customers. E&O is also a new feature.

Dollars: The target is small to midsized freight forwarders with revenues between $5 million/$25 million seeking limits up to $5 million.
