Flood FLEX – Flood Coverage Enhancement

Market Detail: AmWINS Group Inc.’s (www.amwins.com) FloodFLEX is a coverage enhancement that increases the loss payable under Coverage A – Building Coverage of a commercial or residential building flood policy by 10%, 25%, 50% or even 100%. The insured receives one payment to the building and a second FloodFlex payment to be used at the insured’s discretion for any purpose, such as evacuation expenses, increased cost of construction, or the deductible. This program is managed by The Flood Insurance Agency (TFIA), an AmWINS Group Company.
Program features include: First dollar primary building/contents coverage available up to $10 million for properties located in A, X, and V zones including almost all coastal properties; Deductibles of $5,000, $50,000, $100,000, $250,000, and $500,000 available; rate-lock feature that provides insured with options to lock in pricing for up to 3 years, regardless of losses incurred during that time; certified lender compliant. There is no minimum premium, but there is a minimum earned premium provision tied closely to a seasonal flooding calendar that penalizes those who cancel policies after being insured through the worst of flooding season.
