After becoming aware of a company selling fraudulent auto policies on the Internet, Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Susan F. Cogswell is warning car owners to double-check to ensure that companies are properly licensed in Connecticut before purchasing auto insurance. Membership through Puget’s Sound does not satisfy Connecticut law.
