Local associations around Texas have planned their annual golf outing fundraisers. The 2001 Insurance Women of Austin Golf tournament has been scheduled for May 17 this year at the Blackhawk Golf Club near Pflugerville. The proceeds of the tournament are used to provide scholarships to local high school seniors and to assist in funding some of the IWA Community Service projects. Cost to play in the tournament is $85 per person, which includes cart, green fee, meal, sodas and beer. Sponsorship and hole sponsor information is available by contacting Anita at 512/346-0030.
The Independent Insurance Agents of Tarrant County have revamped their “More Bang For Your Bucks” tournament this year. The tournament, held this year at Woodhaven Country Club, kicks off with a hamburger cook-out during registration and is followed by an awards dinner.
