Updated editions of two workers’ compensation publications are now available from the Alliance of American Insurers. The first, Workers Compensation Insurance: Profiles of the State’s System, provides state-by-state information, including market shares by the leading writers, residual market structure, insurance operating ratios, average claim cost and frequency by type of rating law. The second, the 2002 Edition of the Alliance’s Survey of Workers Compensation Laws reflects the most recent changes to state workers’ compensation laws and regulations, providing a summary of their major provisions in chart and table format. The books are free on the Alliance Web site, www.allianceai.org, to members, and can be purchased by non-members for $30 each.
