Jacksonville, Fla.-based The Main Street America Group offered its employees an all-expense paid trip to Super Bowl XXXIX and more than 7,700 non-perishable food items, totaling nearly two tons, were donated to several food pantries in five cities in conjunction with the celebration. All food items were donated to local food pantries in markets where the company has operations: Jacksonville, Fla.; Keene, N.H.; Richmond, Va.: Syracuse, N.Y.; and Auburn, Mass.
The grand prize winner, Sue Macphee, senior administrative assistant, Auburn, was announced during a company-wide video conference. Employees received one raffle ticket for every two food items they donated. There was no limit to the number of food items an employee could donate.
