FARMERS TO LOWER RATES FOR COLO. AUTO CUSTOMERS:

Farmers Insurance Group of Companies announced it will lower rates for its auto customers in the state of Colorado. Effective April 1, 2005, Farmers’ customers in Colorado will see a rate decrease that will average 3.2 percent. Actual savings may be as high as 20 percent and will vary depending on the customer’s location. In addition to the proposed rate decrease, Farmers has also decided to increase its Auto/Home Discount from 10 percent to 12 percent and the Auto/Home/Life Discount is increasing from 13 percent to 17 percent. “This gives us one of the highest home/auto discounts in the industry,” said Rion Groves, Farmers’ Colorado State executive director. “We want our multi-policy households to receive the benefits of allowing Farmers Insurance to meet all of their insurance needs,” added Groves. Farmers insures more than 470,000 autos in Colorado and is the state’s second largest auto insurer. Farmers Insurance Group of Cos. sells its services to more than 10 million households nationwide through 17,000 exclusive and independent agents and district managers.
