Insurance Journal published in its west region edition the first in a series of articles on insurance trade associations. The Alliance of Insurance Agents and Brokers headquarters location was incorrectly stated. The Alliance headquarters is located in La Verne, Calif., not Indian Wells. The Alliance’s conventions are held at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells.
Additionally, the article insinuated the Alliance has endorsed candidate Steve Poizner for California Insurance Commissioner. The Alliance has held informal sessions with the two leading commissioner candidates — Poizner and Cruz Bustamante — but has not offered a formal endorsement to either candidate.
