Three new vice presidents, Michael Stuart, Mark Pergolini and John Cash, have joined Cypress Care Inc. of Atlanta, a pharmacy benefits management company.

Stuart, vice president of strategic initiatives and implementation, spent 11 years with Missouri-based Express Scripts. He will be responsible for implementation of programs for customers. An active member of the California Division of Workers’ Compensation, Stuart was Express Script’s information services director of workers’ compensation and senior account director to the State of California Insurance Fund.

Pergolini, vice president of medical services, will be responsible for Cypress Care’s Medical Service Division. He has managed care experience, including more than 15 years focused on workers’ compensation. Pergolini was most recently employed by Atlanta-based Integrated Care Management as vice president of business development. He was also a marketing executive with Pennsylvania-based Genex Services.

Cash, vice president of marketing, is responsible for Cypress Care’s marketing and brand management, and for helping achieve corporate objectives to increase revenue and profitability. Formerly, Cash was a Bank of America senior vice president, in charge of consumer segment marketing and strategy-multicultural, and the Sprite brand manager for The Coca Cola Co.

Colemont Insurance Brokers-Atlanta has promoted Lisa Adams to assistant vice president. Adams joined the firm in 2000 as an associate broker. Previously, she was a transportation underwriter for an MGA. Adams has been in the insurance industry since 1981, a majority of her career has been with property and casualty insurance companies.

She will specialize in general liability and umbrella casualty placements for large habitational schedules, construction and products driven risks.

Elizabeth Dinnin, senior vice president, Midwest Regional Office, FCCI Insurance Group of Sarasota, Fla. received the Regional Carrier of the Year Award from Tom Nix, COO of the Hyland Group in Carmel, Ind. The award is based on feedback from Hyland’s functional areas: producers, account managers, claims and accounting staff. This is the third consecutive year FCCI has earned the award. Only the top 3 percent of the independent agents who work with FCCI have obtained this level of recognition.

Memphis, Tenn.-based Regions Insurance Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Regions Financial Corp., has named Daryll W. Martin, executive vice president and director of Strategic Operations.

Martin will develop and implement sales strategies and be responsible for the maintenance of insurance company relationships at a senior executive, home office level.

Previously he was with USI Southwest’s Austin, Texas office where he was operating company president. Martin was also with Summit Global Partners as head of its Austin and Houston, Texas, operations. Prior to joining Summit, Martin was managing director at Aon Risk Services where he co-led its National Healthcare Practice, and managed its risk management practice and risk management consulting services in Baltimore, Md. Martin has also managed Sedgwick’s Nashville, Tenn., operations and served as assistant general counsel for Sedgwick’s North American operation.

John T. Hill has been elected to the 2006 board of directors of the National Council on Compensation Insurance Holdings in Boca Raton, Fla. according to Gary Thompson, chair of the 2006 NCCI board and senior vice president of The Hartford.

Hill is the president and chief operating officer of Magna Carta Cos. Prior to joining Magna Carta in 1995, Hill spent 14 years with the Home Insurance Co., where he served in financial and executive management roles.

Jennifer Fields has joined Heartland Marketing Group Inc. of Little Rock, Ark. as a regional sales manger servicing Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.

Fields has more than 10 years experience as a commercial lines underwriter and producer. She will be responsible for independent agency growth in both personal and commercial lines. She will be based in Little Rock.

Tom Sawyer, president, and Calvin Foster, vice president, SawyerFoster Insurance Group of Gulfport, Miss. will retain management positions with the firm as part of a Beecher Carlson agreement to join forces with the firm. SawyerFoster is an independent agency focused on complex risks employing 17 individuals, all of whom will remain with the company.

Steve Denton, executive managing director for Beecher Carlson in Atlanta and Scott Davis, managing director with Beecher Carlson in Nashville, will work closely with the SawyerFoster team.

Georgia Deputy Insurance Commissioner Alan Hayes has joined Southern Strategy Group as a lobbyist in its Atlanta office. Hayes most recently served as Deputy Commissioner of Insurance in the office of Commissioner John W. Oxendine. Hayes leaves the department after the successful completion of several Insurance Department initiatives in just under five years.

Nationwide Insurance has appointed Kyle G. Caswell as an agency executive in Georgia. He will serve the North Metro Atlanta market as part of the Nationwide’s goal to continue to expand its presence in the Southeast.

Caswell hosted a grand opening event to introduce himself to the Alpharetta community on May 13. An Alpharetta resident for 12 years, Caswell has more than 20 years experience in the industry as a company executive and independent agency owner.

Caswell is president of the Georgia Insurance Agents Alliance and an executive board member of the National Auto Agents Alliance.
