Rogers & Gray Insurance, a Kingston, Mass.-based independent insurance agency, has hired Ryan Brown to its management team.

Brown joins the agency from Safeco, a Liberty Mutual Company, where he was the senior territory manager in the Boston and New York City markets. He also spent six years with Arthur J. Gallagher in New York.

Rogers & Gray Insurance offers integrated services for business and personal clients through homeowners, auto, business and employee benefit programs.

Frenkel & Company – an EPIC Company – has hired risk management and insurance professional Tandis Nili to join its operations in New York as senior vice president and leader of the Global Services Division.

Nili is based in Frenkel’s New York, N.Y., office and reports to John F. Kelly, president and CEO of Frenkel & Company.

In her new role, Nili is responsible for leading the integration of EPIC and Frenkel capabilities and resources related to designing, implementing and managing global risk management strategies for large clients with international footprints.

Prior to joining Frenkel, Nili served as a director of the Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) Division at Aon, and earlier as vice president in the National Casualty Brokerage Group, working on complex liability programs for various clients worldwide. Nili also served as a member of Aon’s Casualty Coverage Consultation, Advocacy and Claims Resolution Practice, advocating for clients in general and products liability as well as umbrella and excess liability program and coverage disputes.

RT Specialty/New Day, a Hamilton, N.J.-based division of R-T Specialty LLC, has named Joe Reynolds as an assistant vice president in the National Environmental and Construction Professional Liability Practice (formerly New Day Underwriting Managers).

In this role, he is responsible for securing environmental and construction-related professional liability coverage forms for companies representing the architectural, engineering and real estate marketplace.

For the past 15 years, Reynolds has specialized in underwriting a variety of management and professional liability products. He has experience developing architects and engineers (A&E) and contractors professional (CPL) liability, including protective indemnity and rectification, project specific professional liability (PSPL) and real estate developers errors and omissions (E&O) programs for project owners, contractors and developers.

Prior to joining the practice, Reynolds served as vice president and A&E product head at Hiscox Insurance, as well as vice president and executive underwriter in XL Catlin’s Design Professional division. For more than a decade, he also underwrote and developed product strategy for management and professional liability products at Travelers Insurance and The Chubb Corporation.

YOUNG & Associates, a full-service, national building consulting firm, has hired Don Pierro as senior regional building consultant serving the Northeast region.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Pierro will provide clients with quantity surveying, cost estimating, scheduling, building valuation and critical path analysis consulting. He also will help expand YOUNG & Associates’ brand throughout the Northeast, strategically manage growth and continue to build the company’s culture.

Pierro has previously worked as a contractor for national and international projects ranging from single family homes to commercial construction projects. He also has served as an appraiser.

Jones brings more than 30 years of experience to SterlingRisk, meeting the needs of clients in business, not-for-profit and professional communities.

He started his career with a Long Island, N.Y., insurance firm. He then opened his own agency, later selling his business and working with a national agency. His concentrations include construction, real estate and the not-for-profit sector, working to reduce client exposures and lower costs.
