Meridian Mutual Under Review

The “A” FSR of Meridian Mutual Insurance Group was placed under review with developing implications by A.M. Best following the announced merger agreement of State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company and Meridian Mutual Insurance Company, the principal stockholders of Meridian Mutual and State Auto Financial Corporation. In a separate rating action, A.M. Best affirmed the “A+” FSR of State Auto Insurance Companies.
