The “Api” FSR on General Casualty of Wisconsin was affirmed by S&P. The rating action also applies to the company’s related pool members: Regent Ins. Co.; General Casualty of Illinois; Hoosier Ins. Co.; Winterthur International American Ins. Co.; and Winterthur International American Underwriters Ins. Co. Listed as major rating factors were General Casualty of Wisconsin’s very strong capitalization and historically good operating results. Partially offsetting those positive factors was the company’s somewhat aggressive investment profile and volatility in its premium revenues. A member of the Credit Suisse group of companies, the company is licensed in 46 states and Puerto Rico. It mainly writes auto, workers’ comp, commercial multiple peril, homeowners, general liability and other miscellaneous coverages.
