The Board of Directors of the MIIX Group, a provider of medical professional liability insurance based in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, announced that Patricia A. Costante has been named to replace Richard J. Quagliaroli as CEO.
Quagliaroli, a 30 year veteran of the Hartford Financial Services Group, had only assumed his position last August 20. He informed the board that “family and personal commitments now preclude me from relocating to New Jersey at this time.”
Vincent Maressa, MIIX’s Board Chairman, stated that Ms. Costante, the company’s former COO, “has an extensive background in the healthcare and insurance industry and knows MIIX and its customers well.” She’s expected to continue the company’s strategy of strong underwriting coupled with conservative expansion. MIIX is widely known for its defense expertise. It insures physicians, medical professionals, medical groups and healthcare institutions.
