ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of The ACE Group of Companies, announced the appointment of Connie Germano as senior vice president to lead the Excess Casualty and Custom Casualty businesses. Germano will be based in New York City.
The ACE Excess Casualty unit specializes in lead umbrella and excess liability and serves the needs of commercial policyholders in a wide variety of business sectors, making available the full range of ACE USA’s capabilities. The Custom Casualty unit offers risk managers and retail brokers a wide variety of primary casualty specialty products that are tailored to meet the needs of companies with challenging exposures. The ACE Excess Casualty and Custom Casualty products are distributed through the brokerage community to the commercial market.
Germano most recently served as vice president, leading ACE USA’s Energy Excess Casualty practice, in addition to responsibility for the Eastern Zone for Excess Casualty and Custom Casualty.
She has more than 18 years insurance experience in the primary package and excess casualty lines of business and has worked for several major insurance carriers in senior underwriting roles, and for the past 10 years has focused specifically on excess casualty.
