Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Susan F. Cogswell announced a public hearing on the proposed acquisition of the Travelers Insurance Company and the Travelers Life and Annuity Company, both Connecticut insurance companies, by MetLife, Inc., a Delaware corporation.
The public hearing will be held on June 7, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. in Centinel Hill Hall, Capital Community College, 950 Main Street, 11th floor, Hartford.
