An online wholesaler from California is setting up shop on the East Coast to attract new agents. Superior Access Insurance Services, Inc. is looking to enroll agents from New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire.
SAIS is offering these states workers’ compensation, commercial lines and personal lines. Subscribing agents retain ownership of their book of business and qualify for profit sharing, higher commissions and no transaction fees. Online rating capabilities to most of their carriers are also provided.
SAIS says it currently provides real-time, underwritten quotes to a network of 3,000 retail insurance agency subscribers. Instant, on-line quotes are available for commercial, personal lines and life and health insurance to varying degrees in all 50 states. In addition to the more than 60 admitted “A” rated carriers available for preferred, standard and tougher accounts, SAIS also has several non-admitted markets.
