My wife & I have been considering a move to Virginia. It looks like Kaine wants us New Yorkers to feel at home. Tax the crap out of the citizenry! Cal Thomas spoke if this in his recent column.

I don\’t understand. Can\’t he just look at NYS, at all the fees we pay? NONE of them have been spent for the purposes they were designed. In fact, NYS has taken the $1 per vehicle fee (which was supposed to combat fraud) and increased it to $5 per vehicle. We get socked at each policy renewal. So, those folks with a semi-annual policy get to pay twice per year.

Watch your wallets, Virginia! There is NO Santa Claus.

Well, it didn\’t take long did it? Less than a month after taking office, Mr. Kaine has already started to the pockets of the citizens of Virginia! The rationalization that it will keep our tax burden in line with neighboring states is ludicrous. As always, this money will NEVER go to what it is allegedly intended for. Voter should have looked at waht Mr. Kaine did for the City of Richmond before they elected him Governor!

While it is agreed that there is a need to improve the road and mass transit in VA, I disagree that Virginians should bear the full burden. If Kaine \”really\” feels that those who use should contribute – I am in favor of putting tolls back on I95; why should interstate commuters be able to use our improved roadways without contributing. Anyone driven to New York lately?- approx. $20.+ in tolls!

When someone who is a political socialist tells the voters that he is a economic conservative, why do they beleive him? Time and time again the voters have been fed this line. Every time enough of them beleive it we all end up paying the price. When will people learn to think for themselves? When the wolf is wearing sheepskin it is still a wolf.
