Governor M. Jodi Rell has named New Britain attorney Peter C. Mlynarczyk to the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Mlynarczyk currently serves as corporation counsel for the City of New Britain, overseeing a staff of attorneys in defending all claims and litigation against the city. Mlynarczyk also works as an attorney for the New Britain firm Davila & Dilzer.
Mlynarczyk has been a hearing officer for the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles since 1995, presiding over disputes dealing with drunken driving, insurance and employment matters.
In addition to his hearing officer duties for DMV, Mlynarczyk
Mlynarczyk also served as Alderman for the City of New Britain from 1993 to 1994. Before becoming an attorney, he served as a New Britain police officer and studied forensics under Dr. Henry Lee.
Mlynarczyk will be sworn in following approval from the General Assembly’s Judiciary Committee. He will serve on an interim basis, pending confirmation during the upcoming legislative session.
