Burns & Wilcox, a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based national specialty insurance wholesaler, underwriter and managing general agent, announced the addition of Michael Bodner, who joins the company’s Parsippany, New Jersey office as a personal lines underwriter.
Bodner joins the New Jersey office as a member of the new personal lines division, officially opening in 2007. The personal lines division will specialize in multiple personal lines coverages, including homeowners, hard-to-place coastal and affluent home business and vacant dwellings.
Bodner has 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has specialized in high-value and coastal exposures, large inland marine, as well as personal umbrella coverages.
Previously, Bodner worked for Fireman’s Fund and Harleysville Insurance, where he served as senior personal lines underwriter.
The announcement was made by Susan Harris, manager of the company’s New Jersey office.
