Vermont Governor Jim Douglas has appointed Paulette Thabault as the Commissioner of the Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration (BISHCA).
Thabault steps into the position upon the retirement of John Crowley, who has served as BISHCA commissioner since 2003.
She is a former deputy commissioner for BISHCA.
“I’m very pleased Paulette has accepted this important position,” said Gov. Douglas. “Her energy, enthusiasm and proven expertise in the field will serve Vermonters well as we work to safeguard the interests of consumers and make health care more accessible and affordable.”
