New York-based Valiant Insurance Group has named Biju Joy vice president of its casualty division and Deirdre Zeppie vice president of its management liability division.
Joy is an 18-year veteran of the insurance industry, and joins Valiant from Travelers, where he served as regional vice president for excess casualty. Prior to that, Biju held numerous management and underwriting positions with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co., American International Group and Atlantic Mutual Cos.
Zeppie joins Valiant from ACE USA, where she served as assistant vice president of the professional risk group. At ACE, she focused on directors’ and officers’ liability, employment practices liability and fiduciary liability products for national accounts. Prior to ACE, Deirdre spent a number of years as an underwriter for The Hartford Financial Products Group.
