    All this does is save the cost of printing a brochure that is going to be thrown out anyway. It is the latest incarnation of spam.

    That is where you are sooo wrong. I have been using social media instead of “conventional” marketing for over a year and have had great success. I’ve gone from zero prem dollars to actually making a living on the agent side of the street. Mostly from social media and contacts from it.
    It is a way to connect with younger people the way that they connect with each other. And it’s cost effective!

    I don’t think its like handing out a brochure. Actually its more like handing out a business card at a cocktail party. Its more about planting a seed in someones mind so that the next time they have a question or someone they know has one, they think of you as their go-to person who would know the answer. Its more about sharing bits of info as a resource than a sales pitch.
