first of all, it’s not a right to privacy… afterall, you are getting a driver’s license as a privy to driving on the road… you are in a public place and therefore are allowed to be photographed, if not, then put a bag over your head and then never get a license… if you think about it, this technology has been used in casino’s for many years. it was a matter of time that the homeland security found a great use for this past just stopping someone for leaving via plane.
When you are in a public area, you forfit some of your privacy. Not all mind you, but some. I do get a tad nervous when they start installing cameras everywhere, expecially close to residental areas. Whats to stop them from pointing a camera in your house? I do not mind camera’s inside places of business or camera’s at stop lights, but I do not see the purpose of the state or government installing cameras anywhere else, unless they were attempting to spy on people.
The biggest thing that freaks me out is that I’ve heard (not sure of the validity of this statement) that the government can tap into any cell phone and listen to everything that is going on in the area of that phone, even if the phone is turned off. That the only way to prevent this is to physically take the battery out of the phone and disconnect it from any power source.
Yes! Finally some tax dollars at work that seem to be doing some good…glad to hear it!
Maybe we could identify the undocumented and illegals with this as well. From any country!
Facial recognition at the DMV? Geez, what’s next, collecting my urine when I “go” to check my DNA without my knowledge?
Not your privacy, my right to live without fear that a serial killer or rapist lives next door. Keep the law and you won’t have to worry.

Marc, nice of you to add the “from any country”, I’m sure that’s what you were thinking.
