Sterling & Sterling appointed industry veteran Betsy Good to the newly created position of senior vice president, director of strategy.

In her new role, she will be responsible for identifying and developing new carrier relationships, new program development, marketing of existing programs and managing profitability of those programs.
Prior to joining Sterling & Sterling, Good worked for more than eight years as the underwriting manager and director of new program development at Victor Schinnerer. Before joining Schinnerer in 2003, she spent five years at Kemper as the national underwriting director of their multi-line technology segment, and held a similar position for Zurich prior to that. Good started her career at Aetna Life & Casualty in Boston.
Headquartered in Woodbury, N.Y., Sterling & Sterling employs over 170 insurance professionals, with offices in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Utah and California. The firm is one of the largest insurance brokers in the New York metropolitan area, with premiums exceeding $450 million.
