Sarasota, Fla.-headquartered property/casualty insurer FCCI Insurance Group (FCCI) recently expanded into Maryland and has hired Jeanine Ferritor as a senior marketing underwriter to develop FCCI’s independent agency relationships in the new state. Ferritor will be based in Ellicott City, Md.

Ferritor has more than 13 years of P/C industry experience with companies including Zurich, Travelers and The Hartford. Her most recent position was as a senior sales executive for Zurich in the Maryland and Washington, D.C., area. She earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2000.
FCCI said Ferritor’s experience and connections in Maryland are an ideal fit for the way FCCI operates. FCCI commented that as a regional company in 15 states, the company strives for local business relationships by hiring people who know and understand their communities and the industries within those communities.
Founded in 1959 and working exclusively through independent agents, FCCI provides automobile, crime, general liability, inland marine, property, commercial and contract surety, umbrella, workers’ compensation and agribusiness/farmowners insurance coverage to more than 23,000 business insurance customers.
