Timothy R. Kania has been appointed as senior vice president of energy and construction in the U.S. and Latin America for Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a part of Liberty Mutual Insurance’s global specialty lines unit.
Kania, a 25-year veteran in energy and construction property insurance, will oversee and manage growth of LIU’s energy and construction product lines. Richard Niehaus will continue as senior vice president of LIU energy’s U.S. unit as a direct report to Kania.
