General Star Management Co. has expanded its admitted accountants professional liability program into Pennsylvania. Pearl Insurance, headquartered in Peoria, Ill., has served as the exclusive program manager for the General Star facility in 28 other states and now adds Pennsylvania.
The specialized coverage designed for accountants is automatically provided, including: privacy & information security; employee dishonesty; disabled partner replacement; production of documents; and trial, hearing or arbitration proceedings. Protection is also offered for administrative proceedings up to $10,000 per insured. Total policy limits are available up to $5 million/$5 million.
General Star, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Reinsurance Corp. and a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies, launched its accountants program in January 2012. Coverage is written by General Star National Insurance Co.
General Star National Insurance Com. is licensed in all states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
