Sorry the states and local municipalities don’t have the same pull as the Feds and get themselves exempted. Maybe they could file bankruptcy, get taken over by the feds and then they’d be exempt.

    you can fix stupid.

I am just amazed that IJ reported on this, they usually ignore such stories in favor of something showing how much we are going to save on our health insurance with Obamacare. News Flash IJ, No one with a brain likes this ACA law.

I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg and that lots of smaller municipalities may take similar action in order to avoid having to rise taxes to cover additional costs imposed by the law. Small private businesses will do teh same because the won;t be ablte to afford the costs. The so-called Affordable Care Act is not going to help the job market at all and tf congress can’t, or won’t won’t repeal, defund or amend the law, actions like this will certainly weaken it.

Many people are being pushed into health care programs that can’t afford, do not like or both because of the new regulations. It is all too obvious that the well being of the general public was not really considered when the affordable care program was put together. Affordable for whom?
