Cooper Gay Re North America appointed Norman Gayle as managing director. He joins the executive team working from the head office in downtown New York.
He and his team will focus on production and strategic planning and also assist in the development of new relationships and the support of existing clients.
Gayle will also work work closely with colleagues within Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford, the group holding company, to continue to expand and grow the North American reinsurance business.
With over 35 years of insurance and reinsurance experience, Gayle has held a number of senior management positions within the industry. He was previously with Arch Insurance Group before joining Cooper Gay Re North America.
Gayle brings to his new role a wealth of experience in both broking and underwriting as well as strong relationships in the U.S., Bermudian, and London markets.
Cooper Gay Re covers various classes and types of treaty and facultative reinsurance. It principally handles large property accounts on risks situated worldwide for U.S. cedant based clients and their overseas operations. This includes treaty, facultative and program accounts in high catastrophe risk areas.
Cooper Gay Re North America is part of Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford, a global wholesale insurance and reinsurance broker.
