Anthony R. Slimowicz is joining Crum & Forster as senior vice president and chief claims officer. He will report to Doug Libby, chairman and CEO of C&F, and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey.
Slimowicz began his career at Ernst & Young as a staff accountant, followed by working at the Superior Court of New Jersey for the Honorable Leonard Sachar, and a year later at the U.S. District Court for the Honorable Robert Zampano. In 1993, he joined AIG as a director of staff attorneys, providing advice on corporate, insurance, environmental, and construction law.
In 1996, he joined Zurich Financial Services and served as vice president and director, eventually reporting to the head of global claim corporate services. In this capacity, he was responsible for claim and risk engineering for environmental, general liability, and surety for both the United States and United Kingdom.
Most recently, he served as chief legal officer for Coordinated Health in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and as chief operating officer for AJS Capital Holdings in Warren, New Jersey.
